De La Hoya To Announce Plans Tomorrow
By William Trillo
Golden Boy Promotions just sent out a press release stating:
OSCAR DE LA HOYA AND GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS TO MAKE MAJOR
ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING TEN-TIME CHAMPION'S IMMEDIATE FUTURE.
The release then went on to say: De La Hoya and Schaefer will
make announcement regarding ten-time World Champion's immediate
future.
A bit redundant, I know but Golden Boy's press release makes it
perfectly clear that whatever Oscar is going to reveal it has to
do with his immediate plans which means he knows exactly what he
is going to do.
Could it be that he finally came to terms with Manny Pacquiao
and that mega blockbuster is set for December, or will Oscar
fight one of umpteen other opponents who have been salivating to
get in on that Golden purse? Or has Oscar decided not to fight
at all in 2008 because he couldn’t come to terms with any of the
afore mentioned?
Hint, it’s an international conference call where Oscar will
reveal his plans. If you are planning on making calls to The
Philippines tomorrow you can expect those lines to be jammed up.
Stay tuned!
Random Thoughts & FREE Audio From
Sergio Mora & Vernon Forrest Teleconference
By William Trillo
The first time Sergio Mora & Vernon Forrest met on a conference
call the words got heated and things were blazing hot. This
weeks call was tame in comparison but there were a couple items
of note that I thought I would bring to your attention before
you listen to the audio.
First, I admire my Hispanic media peers but is it really
necessary for them to ask every fighter they talk to if he wants
to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.? Trust me, Sergio Mora has no
intention of fighting Jr. and they should be happy Sergio
fielded that lame question so well. Look, Chavez Jr. is an over
hyped, fat lazy spoiled brat who can't get past has been bums
without help from the judges. Sergio doesn't want to fight him,
Oscar doesn't want to fight him, no one wants to fight him, now
give it a rest. Click
